Days gone by – the 1930s

This photograph was taken in 1938 of a stalking party arriving home with a ‘royal’ stag shot at Glensanda on Kingairloch Estate, owned by Mrs Emily Strutt. It shows, left to right, Mrs Rose Mary Morrison (nee Strutt), Mrs Bridget Bradish (nee Strutt), Mr Duncan Brown, Mr Archie Campbell (nicknamed ‘ Tidy’), Mr Christopher McRae (head stalker) and Mr John Brown. The photograph was taken at the Kingairloch jetty. Lying alongside is the white estate launch called The Goolack.
