Ta­ble ten­nis club back in ac­tion af­ter fes­tive break

Fort Wil­liam’s Ta­ble Ten­nis club has re­sumed com­pe­ti­tions fol­low­ing the Christ­mas break.

In di­vi­sion one, cham­pion Steve Crook re­sumed bat­tle with Monte Bleas­dale and John Grant, with the for­mer still pre­vail­ing against both his near­est ri­vals.

The lat­ter two also fought out a close run con­test, with Grant tak­ing a 2-1 lead only for Bleas­dale to fight back to level the fourth game af­ter be­ing 10- 6 down.

De­spite some te­na­cious play from Grant in the de­cid­ing game, Bleas­dale pre­vailed to take the match 3-2.

Grant then played An­gus Mac­Don­ald in an­other en­thralling game, which Mac­Don­ald nar­rowly won 3-2.

An­other en­thralling game also un­folded which saw Jim Hinch­ley nar­rowly de­feat Neil Cameron, Hinch­ley need­ing all his guile to take the fi­nal game for his 3-2 vic­tory.
