Table tennis club back in action after festive break

-

Fort William’s Table Tennis club has resumed competitions following the Christmas break.

In division one, champion Steve Crook resumed battle with Monte Bleasdale and John Grant, with the former still prevailing against both his nearest rivals.

The latter two also fought out a close run contest, with Grant taking a 2-1 lead only for Bleasdale to fight back to level the fourth game after being 10- 6 down.

Despite some tenacious play from Grant in the deciding game, Bleasdale prevailed to take the match 3-2.

Grant then played Angus MacDonald in another enthralling game, which MacDonald narrowly won 3-2.

Another enthralling game also unfolded which saw Jim Hinchley narrowly defeat Neil Cameron, Hinchley needing all his guile to take the final game for his 3-2 victory.

The club is always on the look out for new members. If you are interested, please see the club`s website, tabletennisfortwilliam.org.uk
