As Volvo Car UK celebrates its best sales performance in 25 years and receives even more safety accolades for the new S90 and V90 models from Euro NCAP, Perth-based Strathmore prepares for another exciting year with the Swedish manufacturer.

While it may occupy the same kerb space as any medium-sized 4x4, and popular with Perth locals, the Volvo XC60’s dynamic looks allow it to stand out from the crowd. From the side it resembles a sporty estate car but still boasts the commanding driving position and functionality of its class rivals.

Volvo’s capable XC60 is available with two five- cylinder engines and the D4 from the four- cylinder Drive-E powertrain family. Available in both manual and automatic to help contribute to a refined drive and excellent fuel economy.

For those looking for something smaller, but by no means less impressive, the newly-facelifted Volvo V40 now comes equipped as standard with Drive-E pow- ertrains – offering a world- class blend of drivability and low CO2 emissions.

Strathmore’s director, Norman Leishman, comments: ‘The V40, XC60 and the impressive XC90 have all become hugely popular with local Perth motorists and the demand for these models continues to remain strong.

‘ We’re confident that the latest models to arrive at the dealership, particularly the V90 estate and its Cross Country variant, will be just as successful with our customers thanks to their innovative safety, technological and performance credentials.’

Looking ahead to the next year, Strathmore is set to go through Volvo’s corporate showroom upgrades to enhance the customer retail experience. The new layout will offer more space, with large exterior and interior glazing and a focus on physical and digital presentation, as well as integrating sales and service areas to deliver an open and friendly environment and making the whole experience based around openness.
