-

CELEBRATE everything the great outdoors has to offer at The Fort William Mountain Festival (FWMF) 2017.

In collaboration with presenting partners and sponsors, the event is being staged in and around Fort William, the heart of the ‘Outdoor Capital of the UK’, from February 15 to 19.

This year’s festival is bringing together an amazing line-up of world- class athletes, speakers, and films for your enjoyment.

The festival kicks off with a torchlight decent to open the Launch Night, followed by four main events, two studio nights, a series of workshops, fringe events, and art festival, and our exhibition area.

Mike Pescod, chairman of the Highland Mountain Culture Association, organisers of the festival, said: ‘ The Fort William Mountain Festival celebrates our wild landscape and the opportunities it presents. We want to promote the value of the landscape of Lochaber as the best destination in the UK to live, work and play.

‘ We have a superb line up of climbers and explorers, mountain films, inspirational speakers and skills workshops. It’s not just for adventure addicts though as anyone who appreciates the landscape of the Outdoor Capital of the UK will find something in the mountain festival.’

You will want to be here to see some # mountainlegends share their passion for mountain culture through tales of epic adventures, first ascents, life challenges, greatest achievements, survival stories, amazing films and so much more.

‘ We have all of the ingredients to make a memorable moment, the only thing missing from this winning recipe is you’, said Mike.

Fort William Mountain Festival is sponsored by Jöttnar and in association with Three Wise Monkeys Climbing and Nevis Landscape Partnership.
