S1/2 rugby festival called off

Saturday’s planned S1/2 festival at Glencruitten was called off due to frozen pitches.

Oban’s S1/2 teams were due to take on opposition from Lochaber RFC, Isle of Mull RFC and Mid Argyll RFC.

The tournament will be rearranged for a later date. Oban’s S1/2 teams have no fixture this weekend due to school holidays.

West Regional Cup Oban U16s v Strathaven/Dalziel U16s

Oban Lorne U-16s welcome Strathaven/ Dalziel U-16s to Glencruitten on Sunday in the last 16 of the West Regional Cup competition. A narrow win over Marr in the previous round sees Oban reach the last 16 for the first time. A strong Oban squad will be confident of progressing to the quarter-finals. Kick off on Sunday is TBC at Glencruitten or North Connel.
