Trust sponsors festival films

THE JOHN MUIR TRUST is delighted to be among the sponsors of Fort William’s Mountain Festival.

The trust, which owns and manages Ben Nevis Estate including the summit and upper slopes of the mountain, part of Glen Nevis and three other Munros, is sponsoring the festival’s film competition tonight (Thursday).

The trust has also been co- ordinating a wild writing competition with schools.

John Muir Trust Nevis land manager Alison Austin said: ‘ We’re delighted to be associated once again with this fantastic festival on the doorstep of Scotland’s highest mountain. We’re looking forward to a great film night, with entries from talented up-and- coming film-makers and a screening of Alastair Humphrey’s Wilderness, filmed on Ben Nevis, Steall Gorge and other John Muir Trust properties.’
