Trust spon­sors fes­ti­val films

THE JOHN MUIR TRUST is de­lighted to be among the spon­sors of Fort Wil­liam’s Moun­tain Fes­ti­val.

The trust, which owns and man­ages Ben Ne­vis Es­tate in­clud­ing the sum­mit and up­per slopes of the moun­tain, part of Glen Ne­vis and three other Mun­ros, is spon­sor­ing the fes­ti­val’s film com­pe­ti­tion tonight (Thurs­day).

The trust has also been co- or­di­nat­ing a wild writ­ing com­pe­ti­tion with schools.

John Muir Trust Ne­vis land man­ager Alison Austin said: ‘ We’re de­lighted to be as­so­ci­ated once again with this fan­tas­tic fes­ti­val on the doorstep of Scot­land’s high­est moun­tain. We’re look­ing for­ward to a great film night, with en­tries from tal­ented up-and- com­ing film-mak­ers and a screen­ing of Alas­tair Humphrey’s Wilder­ness, filmed on Ben Ne­vis, Steall Gorge and other John Muir Trust prop­er­ties.’
