High school video impresses bank contest judges and MP

-

AN MP has congratulated a Lochaber school’s ‘originality’ after its recent video entry to a national contest was a hit.

Kinlochleven High School was one of only 12 schools in the UK to reach the finals of a Bank of England competition to promote its new plastic notes.

Ian Blackford, who circulated the entry form to high schools across the constituency, visited the school earlier this month to present an award for their efforts. The representative for Ross, Skye and Lochaber said: ‘I was delighted to hear Kinlochleven High School not only took up the challenge, but got through to the final 12 entries across the whole of the UK. I really enjoyed watching the video today and was very impressed by the originality and quality of production and can see why they did so well.’
