Youngsters score a dream outing

-

BOYS AND girls from Lochnell Football Club were the half-time entertainment during the recent St Johnstone match against Dundee.

The team, which plays in the 2005 Oban Primary League, were given the opportunity of a lifetime - to score in front of 4,500 fans in a professional stadium.

The youngsters took turns dribbling from the halfway line, before having a shot at goal.

Several of the players scored, but many were denied by the top form Lochnell goalkeeper Adam Welsh.

A total of 39 children and 10 adults made the journey and everyone took part in a training session led by Lochnell coaches.

Following the exercise, the boys and girls enjoyed an entertaining Tayside derby with St Johnstone winning 2- 0.

The Lochnell team rounded off the day by meeting some of the home side’s players. Lochnell FC would like to thank St Johnstone for hosting the club.
