Young­sters score a dream out­ing

BOYS AND girls from Lochnell Foot­ball Club were the half-time en­ter­tain­ment dur­ing the re­cent St John­stone match against Dundee.

The team, which plays in the 2005 Oban Pri­mary League, were given the op­por­tu­nity of a life­time - to score in front of 4,500 fans in a pro­fes­sional sta­dium.

The young­sters took turns drib­bling from the half­way line, be­fore hav­ing a shot at goal.

Sev­eral of the play­ers scored, but many were de­nied by the top form Lochnell goal­keeper Adam Welsh.

A to­tal of 39 chil­dren and 10 adults made the jour­ney and ev­ery­one took part in a train­ing ses­sion led by Lochnell coaches.

Fol­low­ing the ex­er­cise, the boys and girls en­joyed an en­ter­tain­ing Tay­side derby with St John­stone win­ning 2- 0.

The Lochnell team rounded off the day by meet­ing some of the home side’s play­ers. Lochnell FC would like to thank St John­stone for host­ing the club.
