THE SCOT­TISH Rally Cham­pi­onship makes an over­due re­turn to Ar­gyll in June when the area hosts this year’s fifth round in the forests be­tween the Rest and Be Thank­ful, Glen­bran­ter and south to To­ward. Rich her­itage

It is more than a decade since the area has hosted the event with Ar­gyll hav­ing a rich her­itage of for­est stages gravel ral­lies.

The lo­cal busi­nesses funded ‘Dunoon Presents’ pro­ject have teamed up with Mull Car Club to bring the event back and al­ready ex­pec­ta­tion is build­ing in the mo­tor­sport com­mu­nity.

On the beau­ti­fully re­stored Vic­to­rian Dunoon Pier re­cently, Dunoon Presents hosted a rally pho­to­call with the driver and proud owner of a lim­ited edi­tion Colin McRae Subaru Im­preza.

Rep­re­sen­ta­tives from both Mull Car Club and the rally spon­sors were on hand to chat through plans for this ex­cit­ing June rally and how this will im­pact pos­i­tively on the lo­cal area as Dunoon fast emerges as a sport­ing hub.
