Top class rallying returns to Argyll

THE SCOTTISH Rally Championsh­ip makes an overdue return to Argyll in June when the area hosts this year’s fifth round in the forests between the Rest and Be Thankful, Glenbrante­r and south to Toward. Rich heritage

It is more than a decade since the area has hosted the event with Argyll having a rich heritage of forest stages gravel rallies.

The local businesses funded ‘Dunoon Presents’ project have teamed up with Mull Car Club to bring the event back and already expectatio­n is building in the motorsport community.

On the beautifull­y restored Victorian Dunoon Pier recently, Dunoon Presents hosted a rally photocall with the driver and proud owner of a limited edition Colin McRae Subaru Impreza.

Representa­tives from both Mull Car Club and the rally sponsors were on hand to chat through plans for this exciting June rally and how this will impact positively on the local area as Dunoon fast emerges as a sporting hub.
