New support for Mallaig carers

A NEW support group for carers is starting Mallaig.

The Connecting Carers group will have its first meeting on Tuesday April 25 in the Astley Hall, Arisaig, from 11am.

There are more than 3,000 unpaid carers in Highland, some as young as five, who look after relatives, friends or neighbours who couldn’t manage without them.

All unpaid carers are invited to go along and meet up with other carers in the area to chat over a cup of tea and cake and share their experiences while having a well- deserved break from their responsibilities.
