MOK Fest 25 First Bands

The 25th Mull of Kin­tyre Mu­sic Fes­ti­val or MOK Fest as it is more com­monly known runs from Au­gust 16th – 20th.

The Satur­day night con­certs on Aug 19th prom­ise some­thing for ev­ery­one with high oc­tane Celtic Dance kings The Peat­bog Faeries and Scot­land’s 9-piece Ska jug­ger­naut Bomb­skare play­ing in the Vic­to­ria Hall. The Tra­di­tional con­cert the same night in Camp­bel­town Her­itage Cen­tre will fea­ture six piece all fe­male folk band The Shee with singer song­writer Jim Mal­colm also on the bill. More acts for the Satur­day will be an­nounced shortly.

Her­ron Val­ley is guar­an­teed to get ev­ery­one danc­ing at the Fes­ti­val Ceilidh Night on Aug 18th. Award win­ning Gypsy Jazz Swing spe­cial­ists Rose Room and The Dal­ri­ada Con­nec­tions Band will also per­form with Kin­tyre Schools Pipe Band get­ting the night started in their usual rous­ing style.

The Mitchell’s Glengyle Dal­ri­ada Con­nec­tions on Aug 20th will have an­other great line-up with Arty McG­lynn & Nol­laig Casey, Gil­lian Frame, Ciaran Mul­hol­land, Scooter Muse, Lorne MacDougall Trio and Rhu­vaal al­ready con­firmed to play.

News on who will be per­form­ing at the Fes­ti­val Gaelic Night on Aug 16th, Young Folk Night on Aug 17th and Sur­vivors Night on Aug 20th will be re­leased soon.
