I am able to bring a broad range of experience and skills to the council, both from my working background as a local solicitor and other voluntary roles which I have locally.

These include having been company secretary and director for Oban Phoenix Cinema and currently secretary of Oban Community Council.

I believe that key priorities for the area include:

■ Improving the maintenance and safety of local roads, in particular the A85.

■ Improving local provision of mobile phone and broadband coverage.

■ Making sure healthcare provision stays local.

■ Making sure long-term projects for the growth of the area, such as the Lorn Arc development plan, are realised to their full potential.

■ Supporting local businesses in creating jobs. I pledge to be a hard-working and accessible councillor, and I will work with fellow local councillors in the Oban, Lorn, and the Isles area, as well as the other councillors in Argyll and Bute to secure the best local services that we can for local residents.
