Arrested

ABOUT 2.30pm on Monday April 17, in Colonsay Terrace, Oban, police arrested a man aged 33 for allegedly using abusive language. The man was held for court and a report was submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Speeding

AT 8.40pm on Tuesday April 18, on the A828 near Benderloch, a man aged 24 was stopped and charged with driving at excessive speed. A report was submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Charged

ON TUESDAY April 18, at the pedestrian crossing on George Street, Oban, a silver Audi car allegedly had two bald tyres and was parked within the controlled area of the crossing. Subsequent­ly, a man aged 26 was charged and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Disturbanc­e

AT THE Bunkhouse on the Isle of Coll, a man allegedly assaulted two other men, shouted abuse and caused damage to property, at about 7.05pm on Wednesday April 19. Police attended and carried out inquiries and subsequent­ly on Thursday April 20, a 38-year- old man was arrested and charged. A report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Fire

ON Monday April 24, at about 10.40am, a fire occurred within a derelict property at Dalintart Drive, Oban. Police are investigat­ing the incident and are appealing for informatio­n. Call 101 or anonymousl­y on 0800 555 111.
