Har­ley rid­ers gather in Fort

HAR­LEY-DAVID­SON rid­ers and en­thu­si­asts from all over Scot­land gath­ered at the Ben Nevis High­land Cen­tre in Fort Wil­liam on Satur­day April 22 for a rally hosted by the Har­ley-David­son Rid­ers Club of Great Bri­tain.

Chris Jones, the club’s as­sis­tant rep­re­sen­ta­tive for the North of Scot­land, said the day was ‘stu­pen­dous’. He told the Lochaber Times that around 30 rid­ers from all over Scot­land at­tended the event, in­clud­ing a hus­band and wife from Blair­gowrie with their ‘his and hers’ bikes. Mr Jones said: ‘Quite a few lo­cals turned up and a cou­ple have paid to join the group. We are on our way to hav­ing a lo­cal branch of the club in Lochaber, which was the aim of the event.’

Fol­low­ing the meet­ing, the bik­ers rode out to Mal­laig via the Back of Kep­poch be­fore re­turn­ing for their re­gional an­nual gen­eral meet­ing later that evening.
