ANGUS MacNeil MP and Alasdair Allan MSP met with The North Harris Trust, Scottish Water and community representatives regarding the future of a major water mains upgrade between Tarbert and Hushinish.

Mr MacNeil said: ‘A frank, fair and respectful exchange of views with some clearly obvious frustrations were vented during the meeting.

‘Scottish Water said it is currently working on a report on possibilities for the water pipeline.

‘It is hoped the report will be completed by the end of May. The solution might have to be delivered in two stages but we need to see progress.’
