Hale and arty

THE 34th Highlands and Islands Music and Dance Festival was held over the weekend and was a wonderful showcase for the talented competitors and performers.

It provided a fabulous few days of entertainment for those tourists and residents fortunate enough to take in some of it. There were competitions and performances all over town, including outdoors at at Station Square and with a main highlight being the parade of pipers on Saturday afternoon.

And, of course, none of it would have happened at all without the selfless efforts of the volunteer organisers. Well done to everyone involved.
