Author to tour island schools
AUTHOR, illustrator and graphic novelist Laura Ellen Anderson is to visit schools in the Western Isles between May 15 and 19.
London-based Laura is is the creator of the popular Evil
Emperor Penguin graphic novel series and the illustrator for many other books.
This tour will see Laura lead a bespoke and interactive comic workshop for P4-7 and S1 pupils that focuses on creating comic characters, plot and story boards.
Laura said: ‘I’m very much looking forward to the Scottish Friendly Children’s Book Tour.
‘I can’t wait to share my enthusiasm for comics and creativity with the schools and hope that my comic workshops will inspire and encourage pupils to create their own stories and comics, and, of course, we’ll have lots of fun and silliness in the process.’
The tour is sponsored by Scottish Friendly Assurance and organised by Scottish Book Trust.
