LOCAL COMPANY CELEBRATES 40TH YEAR WITH TOYOTA

HELENSBURGH Motor Sales, which was formed in 1977, has just been presented with its 40-year award from Toyota.

The local company that employs 29 staff at its two sites in Helensburgh and has consistently topped the customer care league in Scotland was honoured to receive the long-service award. The company represents the Toyota brand in Helensburgh, Dumbarton, Clydebank and rural Argyll.

In a ceremony at Toyota’s national conference, the local dealer were presented with their award from Toyota president Paul Van der Burgh.

On collecting the award, Gary Mulvaney, managing director said:

‘ We have a great team, most of whom have been here for many years.

‘That team are the reason our customers come back and recommend us to their friends and family.

‘Last year was a special year for us. We collected our first European award for customer care, the Ichiban award; we finished as Scotland’s number one Toyota dealer for customer care again – a position we have held for eight years; and in January we were ranked number one in the UK, out of nearly 200 dealers.

‘ We are very honoured to have represented the Toyota brand since the 1970s and incredibly appreciative of the support we receive from the communities we serve.’
