Friends of the West High­land Lines will be hold­ing an AGM in Fort Wil­liam to­mor­row (May 12).

Cathy Craig, Sco­tRail al­liance com­mer­cial di­rec­tor, and David Dick­son, the al­liance di­rec­tor for in­fra­struc­ture, are the main speak­ers for the event, which kicks off at 2.30pm in the Alexan­dra Ho­tel.

Lochaber En­vi­ron­men­tal Group (LEG) is hold­ing an in­for­ma­tion stall at the Sus­tain­able Life­styles Event at UHI, Fort Wil­liam, on Thurs­day May 18 from 10am to 3pm.

Staff and vol­un­teers from Lochaber Sen­sory Care (LSC) for sight and hear­ing sup­port will be vis­it­ing Abbey­field Care Home in Bal­lachul­ish on Mon­day May 15, from 10.30am un­til 12.30pm, of­fer­ing help and ad­vice to res­i­dents and mem­bers of the pub­lic.

They will also sup­ply NHS hear­ing aid bat­ter­ies and re-tube and main­tain hear­ing aids.

Stra­mash is hold­ing a fam­ily fun day at its Fort Wil­liam nurs­ery on May 27 from 11am un­til 3pm. There will be a bouncy cas­tle, raf­fle, beat the goalie, archery, marsh­mal­low toast­ing, bak­ing stall and much more at its premises near BA park.

Car boot and craft ta­bles are avail­able for £10 per ta­ble.

Lewis piper James Dun­can MacKen­zie, of Scot­tish folk band Bre­abach, will per­form at Nun­ton Steadings tonight (May 11).

Sup­port­ing James will be UHI BA ap­plied music grad­u­ates Peach/Skeoch, found­ing mem­bers of Tan­nara who were nom­i­nated for Up-and- Com­ing Band at the Scots Trad Awards this year. Doors open at 7.30pm for 8pm. Dis­counted tick­ets are avail­able on­line now.

Nether Lochaber Craft Fayre will take place on May 27 from 10am to 4pm.

Cakes and jams, hand­made cards, knit­ted crafts, cush­ions, jew­ellery, can­dles, soup and roll re­fresh­ments will be avail­able at the Nether Lochaber in Onich.
