Texas scramble raises cash for Marie Curie

-

ALMOST £ 3,000 was raised for Marie Curie in the second annual Mike McFall Funeral Directors charity Texas Scramble.

Some 120 players took part in this year’s event on Saturday May 6 at Fort William Golf Club.

No lucky winners scooped up the car prize on hole 12 again this year, but Sean Fraser shot a fantastic hole in one on the 16th which saw him take home a cash prize of £750.

Senior funeral director at Mike McFall’s, Jamie Manson, said: ‘A big thank you to all who participated in our second annual charity Texas scramble. It was another fantastic day and we couldn’t have asked for better weather.

‘A big thanks to everyone who donated prizes for our raffle, bought raffle tickets and supported our event once again.

‘This year we raised more than £2,900 for Marie Curie, this wouldn’t have been achieved if it wasn’t for all our golfers and supporters.

A big thank you once again to our hosts Fort William Golf Club, and all the staff for all there efforts, and to to everyone that supported us and made it as good a day as it was. We all hope you enjoyed it and look forward to hosting next years which will take place on Saturday May 5, 2018.’
