GRAHAME and Emma Clark, owners of Glenegedale House, bed and breakfast on Islay, had a busy few days collecting awards from all over the country.

Emma explained: ‘On Sunday evening we flew out from Islay and made our way across to Edinburgh where we attended a very glitzy Scottish Food Awards and Academy in the Principal hotel.

‘We won the breakfast destination of the year and a gold award for real and local food.

‘The evening finished at 1am, and at 4am a taxi collected me to take me to the airport to fly to London to attend the AA Awards in the Landmark hotel.

‘Here we won the coveted national award for the Friendliest Bed and Breakfast in Britain.’
