THE Three Chimneys team started the season in spectacular style with a trio of awards at the inaugural Scottish Food Awards.
The remote island restaurant was awarded a gold medal for real and local food, as well as the Restaurant with Rooms of the Year award. It also collected a Geographical Food Destination award for the Isle of Skye as a whole, which certifies the region’s worldwide status for dishes that represent the incredible variety of the island’s natural larder.
The winners were announced at a glittering awards ceremony and dinner, held at the Principal Hotel, Edinburgh, on Sunday May 7.
The awards, which are in their first year, celebrate the best of food produced and served in Scotland, as well as the people behind these successes.
