THE Three Chim­neys team started the sea­son in spec­tac­u­lar style with a trio of awards at the in­au­gu­ral Scot­tish Food Awards.

The re­mote is­land restau­rant was awarded a gold medal for real and lo­cal food, as well as the Restau­rant with Rooms of the Year award. It also col­lected a Geo­graph­i­cal Food Des­ti­na­tion award for the Isle of Skye as a whole, which cer­ti­fies the re­gion’s world­wide sta­tus for dishes that rep­re­sent the in­cred­i­ble va­ri­ety of the is­land’s nat­u­ral larder.

The win­ners were an­nounced at a glit­ter­ing awards cer­e­mony and din­ner, held at the Prin­ci­pal Ho­tel, Ed­in­burgh, on Sun­day May 7.

The awards, which are in their first year, cel­e­brate the best of food pro­duced and served in Scot­land, as well as the peo­ple be­hind these suc­cesses.
