A right royal smile from Caol Queen Ellie

The Oban Times - - NEWS -

ELLIE CAMERON has been named this year’s Caol gala queen.

Twelve-year- old Ellie, a first-year pupil at Lochaber High School, will have attendants Millie Henderson, 11, and Keira Conn, eight, by her side when she carries out her royal duties on Saturday June 24.

The girls will be driven around Caol before heading to the gala. Ellie will be crowned queen on the day and will hand out the 2017 Citizenship Award.

Organiser Kirsty Kyle told the Lochaber Times: ‘We have Highland dancers, cheerleaders and a strongman competition. We will have our usual gala granny, a piper and possibly a baking competition. It’s all coming together well now, but we are still looking for two more volunteers to run sports events.’
