New application for restaurant
A NEW drive-through restaurant may be coming to Fort William.
Michael Herbert of Kirk Bryson Limited submitted an application to the Highland Council on May 3 for a restaurant with drive through including car parking, potential for outdoor seating and associated works at Nevis Square on North Road.
Work is currently under way on part of this site where a Costa coffee shop is being built.
This development is also by Mr Herbert, trading as Herbal Eastern Limited (HEL). Planning was approved August 31 2016.
The new application matches a previous one submitted by Mr Herbert’s HEL in 2014.
Mr Herbert, who is the owner of the largest KFC in Europe and luxury apartment complexes in Belfast, had planned to open a KFC in Fort William but the project never got off the ground.
