Plans for more outdoor events

LOCHABER organisations are exploring plans to hold more outdoor entertainment events in the area.

Ballachulish Community Company and Ballachulish Community Council are exploring the possibility of acquiring a public entertainment licence for the quarry.

The licence would cover the annual fireworks event, which the community council currently organises each year, and other projects for a period of three years.

The company has been in discussions with the Highland Council with regard to a possible community acquisition of part of the quarry.
