Trio of top awards for is­land restau­rant

SKYE’S The Three Chim­neys started its sea­son in spec­tac­u­lar style with a trio of awards at the in­au­gu­ral Scot­tish Food Awards.

The re­mote is­land restau­rant was awarded a gold medal for real and lo­cal food and the Restau­rant with Rooms of the Year award. It also col­lected a Geo­graph­i­cal Food Des­ti­na­tion award for the Isle of Skye as a whole, which cer­ti­fies the re­gion’s world­wide sta­tus for dishes that rep­re­sent the in­cred­i­ble va­ri­ety of the is­land’s nat­u­ral larder.

The win­ners were an­nounced at an awards cer­e­mony and din­ner at The Prin­ci­pal, Ed­in­burgh, on Sun­day May 7.
