Stramash makes a splash

-

COLL Kids Club enjoyed a two- day visit from Stramash, Scotland’s outdoor social enterprise.

Youngsters came together to take part in a number of exciting outdoor activities, and bringing Stramash to the island made the event accessible and affordable for all of Coll’s children.

Children as young as five had their first experience of ‘coasteering’, abseiling, archery and more, under the expert tuition of Stramash’s Nona and Rob.

The high school youngsters, who had returned home for the holidays, got to spend some valuable time exploring the island with their younger friends and siblings. The weather was, thankfully, reasonably kind and Stramash were able to make the most of the island’s beautiful beaches and coastline.

Coll Kids Club provided this opportunity with the support of Branddaddy, Coll Association, Coll Community Council and Coll Seniors Club.

The club is also grateful to CalMac for sponsoring the transport, making it possible for Coll Kids Club to bring Stramash and their equipment, and to Stramash for taking time to give the youngsters this great opportunity.
