Players flock to 42nd Oban Bridge Congress
MORE than 100 bridge players from across the UK competed in the 42nd annual Oban Bridge Congress last weekend.
The event took place from Friday May 12 to Sunday May 14 in the town’s Regent Hotel.
For the first time a local pair won the pairs competition. David Pollard, from Kilmore, and Jacek Suchodolski, from Ardfern, who play regularly at Oban Bridge Club, were also part of the best Oban team along with David Pender and Allistair Duff.
Oban Bridge Club meets every Monday and Wednesday evening and Friday afternoon in St Columba’s Cathedral Hall.
