FEIS na h-Apainne is delighted to have received two grants, one from Feisean nan Gaidheal and one from Argyll and Bute Community Funding.

The feis runs once a month and provides quality tuition in the traditional music of clarsach, pipes, chanter, whistle, guitar, fiddle and accordion, as well as offering tuition in Highland dance, group work and music technology.

It is open to all ages and enables participants a chance to learn these instruments. They choose four or five each time.

Music tuition opportunities are hard to get in rural areas and can be expensive.

The feis offers regular and affordable tuition and a good choice for children to try and then develop. Grants cover about half the costs, with fundraising and low fees paying the rest. The next one is June 10.
