Harry scoops the double at U18 Durham Open

TAYNUILT’S Harry Mobey won the U18 Durham Open singles and doubles events last Saturday

Harry comfortabl­y made it into the boys’ singles final and set the pace on what was a three-set final with fellow Scot Callum Smith. Harry also went on to win the boys’ doubles event in a straight-sets final with Danny Robson from Glasgow.

Harry also recently took gold in the U18 boys’ singles event in Oxford, winning in a very comfortabl­e two-set final.

He has achieved his end-ofseason goals – final ranking for end of season stands at fifth U18 boys and ranked 11th in Scottish seniors.

Harry has also been invited to train at the National Badminton Academy in Milton Keynes in the school summer holidays and has been offered a place at the world famous Misbun Sidek’s Academy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where he will be based for part of December, training with the world’s best junior players.
