Chance to be film extra
WORKING Title Films, the producers of the new Mary
Queen of Scots, is looking for Fort William men to feature as extras in the epic film.
The film is expected to feature Irish actor Saoirse Ronan, star of Ed Sheeran’s Galway Girl video and leading lady in films Brooklyn, The Lovely Bones and The Grand Budapest Hotel.
Casting for men wanted as part of Queen Mary’s army will take place on Saturday June 24 between 10am and 5pm at the Nevis Centre.
Piece of Cake Casting, which is conducting the search, is looking for males over the age of 16.
Part of the filming will take place in Fort William later this year. Alexandra Pickford from the casting agency told the
Lochaber Times: ‘As an agency, we much prefer local people to be involved rather than bussing in people from larger towns. It would be much nicer if people from Fort William take the opportunity to get involved. Extras will be paid for all costume fittings and filming days.’
If you can’t make the casting, you can register online to be considered at www.pieceofcakecasting.com/ become-an-artiste.
