Carmichael triple win Millennium Trophy at Oban
OBAN Bowling Club members contested the Millennium Trophy last Sunday.
With 30 players playing in a round-robin competition, the team showing the most promise was Colin Carmichael’s triple.
Starting at noon and not finishing until 7pm, it was a long day but the crowd liked what they saw.
Near the end it was down to Colin’s triple and Anne Campbell’s team who were delighted to reach another final.
Going into the last end it was three shots each with Colin eventually winning with his last bowl of the final by four shots to three in a tight game.
The trophy was presented in the clubhouse to winning team, Colin Carmichael, Richard Baldwin and Lillian Barrie. The losing team was Anne Campbell, Scott Gargan and Donnie Douglas.
