THE SCOT­TISH Women's In­sti­tute ex­tends a warm in­vi­ta­tion to cur­rent and former mem­bers to an af­ter­noon tea to cel­e­brate the or­gan­i­sa­tion's cen­te­nary on Satur­day July 1 in Dun­cans­burgh Church Hall from 2pm to 4pm.

KIL­MALLIE Com­mu­nity Cen­tre needs vol­un­teers to help at a com­mu­nity cleanup start­ing at 10am on Satur­day July 29. For more in­for­ma­tion con­tact Sarah Kennedy on 07768 805040.

THERE will be a fash­ion and mu­sic taster day on Thurs­day June 29 at West High­land Col­lege UHI, Fort Wil­liam. This will be a chance to have a look around, see the stu­dents’ work and ask ques­tions.

There will also be an op­por­tu­nity to ap­ply and have an in­ter­view the same day. At 4.30pm there will be a play-ina-band ses­sion and a chance to find out more about the af­ter school club for next year. Any in­stru­ment – no as­sess­ments or qual­i­fi­ca­tions – just mu­sic. LOCHABER Hope is hold­ing a get to­gether on Satur­day July 1 at Dal­na­haine, Belford Road, Fort Wil­liam, from 11am to 3pm to show the com­mu­nity what they do. A bar­be­cue, af­ter­noon tea, cake bakes and face paint­ing will be avail­able.

STAFF and vol­un­teers from Caol-based Lochbaer sen­sory care for sight and hear­ing sup­port will visit Mal­laig on Tues­day July 4. The team will be at Mal­laig med­i­cal cen­tre from 2pm to 3pm. They will help and ad­vise any­one liv­ing lo­cally with hear­ing or sight loss. They will also sup­ply NHS hear­ing aid bat­ter­ies and re­tube and main­tain the hear­ing aids.
