Arisaig women enjoy centenary cream tea
ARISAIG Women’s Institue celebrated its centenary with a cream tea.
The event was held on June 17 in the Land Sea and Islands Centre.
Group press secretary Yvonne MacDonald told the Lochaber
Times: ‘We owe a big thank you to Arisaig Community Trust which kindly allowed us to hold the event and ongoing exhibition until August in the Land Sea and Islands Centre.
‘In particular we wish to thank Gordon and Alison Stewart for their assistance and support. We also wish to thank all those who provided scones, pancakes, gateaux or contributed to the afternoon.
‘Unfortunately the weather was dire which meant the event was not as well attended as we would have liked. However those who attended enjoyed the event and the goodies.’
