About 1pm on Friday June 30, in Argyll Square, Oban, near to the Clydesdale Bank, a disturbance occurred between a man who was with a woman and three other women. Police are investigating the incident and are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact them. About 11.45am on Sunday July 2, on the A828 near Benderloch, a collision occurred between a Suzuki Swift and a Nissan Micra. Subsequently, a 26-year- old man was charged with careless driving. The occupants in the Nissan Micra suffered minor injuries as a result of the collision and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal. Between 7pm on Thursday July 6 and 9.30am on Friday July 7, in Mill Lane, Oban, a Landrover Discovery had a door lock damaged and entry was gained. It is not thought that anything was stolen from the vehicle. Police are investigating the incident and are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact them. About 5.50am on Friday July 7, following a report of a man behaving in an abusive manner and assaulting a woman in a flat in Scalpay Terrace, Oban, a 30-year old-man was detained. The man was later arrested and charged with assault and abusive behaviour and a report was submitted to the procurator fiscal. About 2.05pm on Friday July 7, within Lidl store in Oban, an unattended Samsung mobile phone was stolen. Police are investigating the incident and are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact them. About 9.50am on Monday July 10, on the A828, near Barcaldine, a motorist was stopped for allegedly exceeding the speed limit. The driver, a man aged 29, was charged and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
