One head teacher for two schools

SPEAN Bridge Primary School has a new head teacher.

Kim Bentley, current head teacher at Invergarry Primary School will now also manage Spean Bridge after money-saving proposals, which will see head teachers manage several schools at once, were approved by Highland Council.

The changes will now see Spean Bridge and Invergarry primaries served by a single cluster head teacher and three principal teachers.

Kate McGillvery, who was associate head teacher at Spean Bridge and Roy Bridge primary schools, left her post at the end of the school session. The drastic shake-up of management in Highland schools was voted through in January.
