Cadets host open night

-

THE 1st Battalion The Highlanders Army Cadet Force, Fort William, opened its doors to relatives and friends recently to demonstrate the range of activities they enjoy.

The cadets showed off shooting in their dedicated range, putting up tents to build a camp, first aid, marching and cooking. The many trophies and awards they have won over the past year were also on show.

In the middle of July the cadets head off to annual camp, which this year takes place at Barrybudden near Dundee, where they will sharpen their skills in a number of military-based competitions against other cadets from across Scotland.
