14-goal thriller at Atlantis

DUE TO several call offs for a variety of reasons, only one game took place in the Atlantis Leisure five-a-side league.

Hakuna Juan Mata 8 – 6 Menzies Parcels

It might have been the only fixture of the weekend, but it was a fantastic game none the less.

Again, a much improved Menzies Parcels started extremely well going 3-1 up thanks to some superb long distance strikes and solid defending.

A penalty and another quick goal from man of the match Daniel MacCuish saw the youngsters level the match at 3-3 going into half time.

The second half saw another see-saw battle between the two sides, with both teams giving as good as they got.

In the end it was Hakuna Juan Mata who took the well deserved victory and the three points as they look to push into the top positions of league.
