Work begins on A82, A85 and A828

WORK has started this week at a num­ber of lo­ca­tions on the A82, A85 and A828 trunk roads to carry out a pro­gramme of car­riage­way re­tex­tur­ing to re­store skid-re­sis­tance on the road sur­face.

The work will see more than 2km of car­riage­way resur­faced across five lo­ca­tions. The sites in­clude the A82 at Let­ter Find­lay, A82 at River Coe, A85 at Stone­field, A85 at Cru­achan Vis­i­tor Centre and the A828 south of Ben­der­loch.

The work be­gan on Tues­day (Au­gust 8) for five days be­tween 8am and 7pm each day. Each scheme will take a day to com­plete.

The roads will re­main open through­out the im­prove­ments but to en­sure the safety of road work­ers and users, a traf­fic man­age­ment sys­tem will be in oper­a­tion dur­ing work­ing hours.
