Gov­ern­ment fig­ures are not to be trusted

Sir, The ar­ti­cle about the amount of air weapons still not handed in here in Scot­land comes as no sur­prise.

Af­ter all, the cy­cle track from Ben­der­loch north was used by 345,000 peo­ple ac­cord­ing to ‘of­fi­cial’ fig­ures. I ques­tioned it and was told it was an es­ti­mate.

Like a lot of things that is­sue from the Scot­tish Gov­ern­ment, these fig­ures are not to be be­lieved. Cyril Bon­nett, Bal­lachul­ish.
