five-year term is up for renewal. The company is now in the process of balloting local businesses who are currently levy payers for a second and exciting term. Ballot papers have been sent to all eligible parties and these must be returned no later than Thursday 5th October 2017.

BID4Obans Chairman Graeme Bass said: ‘I am delighted to present the new business plan for the second term of BID4Oban which has been sent to

all levy payers. It outlines our key priorities and gives a taste of how we can continue to improve and make Oban a stronger and more prosperous town by working together for the benefit of local businesses and the wider community.

‘Supporting BID4Oban is a great opportunity to continue working together and make Oban a great place to live, work and visit. The cost to businesses is low and, through BID4Oban, we can access external

assistance and funding that is not available to individual businesses or local authorities.

‘By ensuring BID4Oban continues, we can keep working together to increase footfall, stimulate investment and enhance the reputation of our town. The purpose of BID4Oban is to support our business community, increase trade and improve our business environment.’

BID4Oban Limited was formed in November 2012 as a result of a resounding

‘yes’ from Oban’s business community to support joining forces to create Scotland’s first whole town Business Improvement District. It was formed as a not-for-profit limited company to deliver BID4Oban’s objectives.

The Vision of BID4Oban is to create a vibrant and vital town centre, with a supportive and involved business community. This ensures that every business trading in Oban benefits from the collective involvement of all business’s in the BID.
