Partnership opens up awards to all staff
LAST year Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) introduced an awards programme for nurses and midwives to recognise excellence in the delivery of care by this group of staff.
And the programme was so successful the HSCP has decided to widen the awards so that they are now open to all staff.
Liz Higgins, lead nurse for Argyll and Bute HSCP, who launched the awards last year, said: ‘In 2017, we launched our Nursing Excellence Awards for nurses and midwives working for Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership.
‘We were really pleased by the high standard and number of nominations that were received, and were delighted to present awards to a number of worthy winners. There was huge enthusiasm for the awards last year and a very positive response from practitioners. Due to this success we have decided to widen the awards so that all HSCP staff have an opportunity to be recognised for the contribution they make.
‘If members of the public would like to nominate a particular HSCP employee whom they feel has gone the extra mile, then the nomination forms and guidance, including a list of the various categories, can be accessed on our website: www.bit.do/ABexcellenceawards
‘We have a great team of people working for the HSCP, both in our hospitals and the local community, and they make a real, positive difference across Argyll and Bute.
‘It is therefore only right that we recognise this through these excellence awards and I look forward to reviewing the nominations once again.’
