Plenty to look forward to this spring

SPRING is sprung, thank goodness.

I’m really noticing the difference in the mornings and evenings, and instead of wanting to bury my head back under the duvet I’m springing out of bed eager to begin the day (well, nearly), writes BID4Oban town ambassador Kay McDonald.

There are lots of things afoot in the town just now to get excited about and look forward to.

The launch of Oban: A University Town last week was great and optimistic about the future of Oban and we also had the introduction of the Oban Live Fringe which is being rolled out over the next few weeks and will help to create an even bigger buzz on the weekend of Oban Live.

If you have a business in the town then it’s a fantastic opportunity for additional ad- vertising and to be part of such a major event.

We have the details in the BID4Oban office on Stevenson Street if you can’t wait for them to be delivered.

The BID4Oban annual general meeting is being held on Tuesday March 13 in the Argyllshire Gathering Halls with the second half of the evening from 6.20pm open to those who have an interest in detailing the plans for the next five years.

It’s all about keeping Oban the thriving town it is and progressing into the future.

I always get excited at this time of year with the thought of all that’s ahead, Oban Sportive with Mark Baumont, Highlands and Islands Music and Dance Festival, Oban Live, Oban and Lorn Lions Charities Day and Raft Race, and so much more.
