Frame damaged POLICE FILES
THE CLIMBING frame at Tiree Community Business Centre, Crossapol, was damaged sometime between noon on Friday April 6 and noon on Sunday April 8.
Co-op shoplifting
A MAN allegedly stole groceries from the Co-op in Tobermory, Mull, sometime between 1pm and 2pm on Monday April 9.
Theft of back pack
A BACK pack was stolen from the common close at West Bay Flats, Oban, sometime between 5pm and 5.30pm on Tuesday April 3.
Awning damaged
TWO AWNING ropes on a caravan at The Camping and Caravan Site at Barcaldine were cut sometime between 5pm on Saturday April 7 and 4pm on Monday April 9.
Van stolen
A WHITE Renault Kangoo van, registration mark SY64VBX, was stolen from a building site at Lochavullin Road, Oban, sometime between Monday March 12 and Saturday March 17.
Careless driving
At 12.15pm on Thursday April 12, on the A816 two miles south of Kilninver, an articulated lorry crashed off the road. The male driver of the lorry, aged 45, was charged with careless driving. The driver suffered minor injuries as a result of the accident. No other vehicles were involved. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
Drunk driver
A 24-YEAR-OLD man was stopped by police while driving his car on Soroba Road, Oban, at 3.05am on Thursday April 15. The man provided a positive breath test, was arrested and a blood sample was taken for analysis.
Sheep killed
A ROTTWEILLER-TYPE dog was seen chasing sheep at 2pm on Thursday April 12 in a field at McKelvie Heights, Glenshellach Road, Oban. Two sheep were found dead and another sheep was injured.
