❒ Kilmallie Community Centre will host a grand ceilidh on Saturday April 21 at 7.30pm. The evening will be hosted by John Joe MacNeil, winner of the traditional gold medal at Lochaber Mòd 2017. Music will be supplied by Bruce Lindsay and supporting artists. Tickets at the door. Money raised will be divided between Kilmallie Community Centre and Macmillan Nurses.
❒ Fort William Town Team is hosting its Big Spring Clean this Sunday April 22 from 2-4pm. The team is encouraging everyone to roll up their sleeves and lend a hand for an hour or two on the High Street. Meet the team on the Parade at the Town Team Hub. Tea, coffee and home baking at 4pm. ❒ Nevis Canoe Club has organised sea kayak sessions for adult beginners and improvers. The first session is in the leisure centre pool on Friday April 27 in the water 8pm to 9pm, then there are four outdoor sessions at Outward Bound Locheil on Mondays April 30 and May 7, 14, and 21 until 8.30pm. ❒ Kilmallie Singers will perform Mozart’s Requiem at 7.30pm on Saturday April 28 in Duncansburgh church. Tickets are available from members and at the door.
❒ Friends of Nevis are holding a litter pick on Sunday April
29. Meet at Ben Nevis Highland Centre (woollen mill) at 10.30am. Come for a couple of hours or whatever time you can spare. The litter pick will finish at 3.30pm. Under-18s should be accompanied by an adult. Coffee, lunch and all equipment is provided. Please wear appropriate clothing.
