View from the Chamber

LOCHABER Chamber of Commerce, which represents all business sectors in the region, has launched a new-look website this week.

The updated website will help businesses connect with one another, add value to members and better promote member businesses, business events in the area and news.

Chamber chief executive Lesley Benfield said: ‘Our new-look website has been updated to work seamlessly on PCs, mobiles and tablets, and makes it much easier to connect with the Chamber.

‘Visitors to the site will discover an attractive and easy-to-use hub that makes it easy to find out about members, keep up to date with business news, book Chamber events and join up online.’

She added: ‘Tourism is crucial to our local economy in Lochaber, and that’s why we promote the area as a tourism destination under the Outdoor Capital of the UK brand.

‘We also host the Developing the Young Workforce programme that works with employers, schools and colleges across Skye, Wester Ross and Lochaber.

‘The new website will bring all three elements of Lochaber Chamber of Commerce together for the first time.

‘We hope our members and other visitors to the site enjoy the new look and will use the website regularly as a valuable online business resource.’

Lochaber Chamber of Commerce’s goal is to enhance and encourage economic growth and the creation of jobs. It also works to ensure the collective business voice is heard by those decision-makers who matter, both politically and in industry.

The Chamber represents businesses, regardless of size or sector, in connectivity, infrastructure (road, rail and sea), tourism, workplace development, education and public policy.
