Come and see us at BAAB Grill

-

Freshly grilled chicken shish, whole sea bream, lamb kebabs and other recipes inspired by Greece, Turkey and the eastern Mediterranean are now on offer at BAAB Grill, the newest and most innovative restaurant to open in Oban.

The first of its kind in Oban, BAAB Grill at the Perle Hotel has been created to bring the flavours of the eastern Mediterranean to this renowned fishing port. The dishes are a mix of recipes from Greece, Turkey and the Levant, all of which have a rich culinary heritage with food meant for sharing and bonding over.

The menu has been created to suit all palettes; grilled meats from the charcoal grill, local seafood such as Octopus, plenty of vegetarian and vegan friendly dishes, and not least the renowned meze with the homemade bread that’s already making a name for itself. Some signature dishes include; grilled marinated sea bass, Adana Kebab and Umm Ali – similar to a bread and butter pudding but with rose and pistachio adding the eastern flavour.

BAAB co-creator, Beth Rehman, commented: “We wanted to bring a fresh style of eating to Oban, blending fantastic local seafood and Scottish produce with authentic dishes typical of the eastern Mediterranean. The atmosphere at BAAB is relaxed and friendly and it’s a perfect place to meet with friends old and new, as well as family.
