Competition results from Fort William Golf Club
A number of competitions have taken place at Fort William Golf Club in the last fortnight.
On Saturday June 2, the June Medal was played with the following result: Section 1 – 1. Jason Wallace, net 70 (84-14); 2. Steven Jamieson, net 72 (76-4); 3. David Fairgrieve, net 74 (81- 7).
Section 2 – 1. Frank Sweeney, net 73 (91-18); 2. Pat Cassidy, net 75 (91-16); 3. Sinclair Gunn, net 80 (100-20).
On Tuesday June 5, a 12hole Stableford competition was played with the following result: 1. Pat Cassidy, 26 points; 2. Peter Laing, 24 points (BIH); 3. Brian Stewart, 24 points.
The club championship first and second rounds took place over weekend of June 9 and 10. The leading scores are: Steven Jamieson, 139 (68 + 71); David Matheson, 155 (76 + 79); Eric Wallace, 155 (76 + 79); Paul Campbell, 156 (74 + 82); David MacPherson, 159 (79 + 80).
The final two rounds take place this weekend, June 16 and 17.
Ladies: On Sunday June 10 the Championship Medal was played with the following result: 1. Rosemary Macintyre, net 72 (84-12); 2. Helen Brian, net 73 (95 -22); 3. Ann Lovatt, net 74 (99-25).
Entries are being taken for the Fort William Open sponsored by Bowman Skip Hire on Saturday June 23. Tee times available between 8am and 3pm.
