Be Charlotte heading for Tiree Music Festival

-

Scottish singer-songwriter Be Charlotte is the latest headline act revealed for Tiree Music Festival 2018.

The world record deal holder, who has signed up with Columbia/Sony, has played at festivals across the UK, Europe and south-east Asia but cannot wait to get on stage at Tiree.

After a flying visit earlier this year to the island, dubbed Hawaii of the North, Be Charlotte said: ‘It was great getting a taste of what to expect in July and now I really can’t wait to play to the TMF crowds in this amazing setting.’

Pop and rock band The Hoosiers have also been announced to top the Sunday night bill at the festival.

A brand new Elements programme is a new strand to this year, making sure there is something for the whole family to enjoy involving sun, sand, wind and water.

Early bird tickets for the festival from July 13 to July 15, sold out in less than 48 hours in November and remaining tickets are selling fast.

Also new to the multiaward-winning event will be the outdoor Elevate Stage, supported by the Year of Young People 2018 showcasing talent on the Scottish music scene with its line-up focusing on up-and-coming artists.

Paul Bush OBE, VisitScotland’s director of events said: ‘We are delighted to be supporting Tiree Music Festival as part of Scotland’s Year of Young People celebrations.

The festival has given the next generation the chance to shine with young people at the heart of the planning and programming this year.

‘It is no surprise that this year’s line-up showcases some of Scotland’s best young artists and musicians.’
